The three-bedroom, four-bathroom property was once the longtime guest house of the legendary Whitney Houston, who bought the home in 1993 for $537,000, the New York Post reported. The Grammy Award winning artist sold the place in 2010 for $940,000.

“This expansive ranch with a contemporary flair sits on a flat 5-acre lot with meticulous landscaping and stunning curb appeal,” the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty said. “Hard to find, complete one-floor living.”

The house appears to be secluded enough from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but not too far from surrounding neighbors. The home underwent a renovation in 2016, the listing said, and the area where there once was a recording studio has been converted into a media room, gym and office.

But, if the new owners so wish, the space could be turned into many things because the “multitude of uses” the soundproof glass walls offer, the listing says.

Houston shot to fame in the 1980s after releasing her debut album at 22-years-old. During the ‘90s, she moved on to both star in the dramatic film “The Bodyguard” as well as voice the movie’s soundtrack. The star died in 2012 after accidentally drowning in a hotel room bathtub.
