This Stunning Los Angeles Home Featured in House Beautiful Is for Sale
If you’ve ever flipped through an issue of House Beautiful and dreamt of living in the homes displayed in its pages, now might be your chance: Interior designer Jeff Andrews‘s Los Angeles house, which was featured in House Beautiful last year, just hit the market for $2,350,000.
Andrews’ home is also chronicled in his design book, The New Glamour: Interiors with Star Quality, alongside homes he’s designed for celebs, including Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kaley Cuoco. An award-winning interior designer with an impressive clientele, Andrews has also designed homes for Ryan Seacrest, Dexter star Michael C. Hall, TV personality Carrie Ann Inaba, and NBA star Tyson Chandler.
Located in the historic Miracle Mile North neighborhood, the Spanish Colonial home was built in 1934. After moving into the home eight years ago, Andrews told House Beautiful that he “wanted the feeling of the house to be peaceful, subdued, and sophisticated.” So he selected a color palette of grays and obsidian. He also focused on texture, choosing unexpected finishes surfaces throughout the home.
“There’s so much beauty in texture,” he said. “Paint is beautiful, and you can do a lot with it, but things like wallpaper, wood, and grass cloth reflect light in different ways, changing your whole experience of color. There’s a warming quality. Surfaces should never be ignored, no matter if it’s the ceiling, the wall, or the floor.” While the home comes unfurnished—as Andrews furnished it with his personal collection of finds he’s been collecting for decades—the 2,334-square-foot home still boasts gorgeous finishes.
The single-story home has two three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom features an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding tub and Italian marble. The sunken living room has vaulted ceilings and a gorgeous fireplace. The den’s French doors lead to a spacious backyard with terracotta tile flooring and lush greenery.
