blue sign before makeover

Since it’s already a indicator and has a wonderful hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d retain it a signal.
Nicely, form of.

You can hold it or sit it on a shelf, both way.

Below is what it looks like now…

Just a small distinctive, huh? lol

Very well, guess what? Yep…I pulled out yet another sheet of that extended-lost scrapbook paper I had stashed away and used it.

You can see higher than that I developed a crease by pressing together the edges of the board for slicing.

Then I used a skinny layer of my Decoupage Gel

…and attached the scrapbook paper.

At the time it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a awesome clean line like you see underneath.

I like that minor trick! Is effective so very well. (on cloth decoupage too)

Then I printed (in reverse) out the words and phrases “on island time…” and arranged them on the sign the place I desired them.

Then all you have to do is use a modest artist’s brush to paint over the lettering. (one thing like this brush performs really well)

I made use of white paint for the letters.

I went again about areas that ended up also skinny and then resolved to add shadowing.

I like to print out the terms with a “shadow” and it displays you just about everywhere you will need to include it.

Does not that just make the letters pop??

Last of all, I warm glued a newborn starfish to the entrance to end it up.
