[ad_1]
Make your have “On Island Time” sign just with scrapbook paper and simply transferred lettering with paint!
Hey friends!
I hope you are possessing a superb week. We have been traveling and browsing family (and buddies) in the superb point out of South Carolina. (some in the Charleston place and some in the upstate)
If you abide by alongside over on Instagram, you could have viewed a minimal of the vacation. Fun, pleasurable!
On Island Time Signal
These days I’m back sharing this sweet tiny sign…
Since it’s already a indicator and has a wonderful hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d retain it a signal.
Nicely, form of.
You can hold it or sit it on a shelf, both way.
Below is what it looks like now…
Just a small distinctive, huh? lol
Very well, guess what? Yep…I pulled out yet another sheet of that extended-lost scrapbook paper I had stashed away and used it.
You can see higher than that I developed a crease by pressing together the edges of the board for slicing.
See underneath?
Then I used a skinny layer of my Decoupage Gel …
…and attached the scrapbook paper.
At the time it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a awesome clean line like you see underneath.
I like that minor trick! Is effective so very well. (on cloth decoupage too)
Then I printed (in reverse) out the words and phrases “on island time…” and arranged them on the sign the place I desired them.
I rubbed about them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

You can see how properly this functions under.
Then all you have to do is use a modest artist’s brush to paint over the lettering. (one thing like this brush performs really well)
I made use of white paint for the letters.
I went again about areas that ended up also skinny and then resolved to add shadowing.
I like to print out the terms with a “shadow” and it displays you just about everywhere you will need to include it.
Does not that just make the letters pop??
Last of all, I warm glued a newborn starfish to the entrance to end it up.
Excellent for that beach-themed house or cottage by the sea. 🙂
Another very easy just one! Loving all the decoupage I’ve been undertaking recently.
It is been so a lot enjoyable to remodel these old, weary items!
PIN it to save it!
I’ll be again next 7 days with this one particular! (I Enjoy how this 1 turned out and just can’t wait to share it with you)
Have a amazing weekend!!
xoxo
